Comfy but small??

Love this hoodie, great quality and comfort. But the sizing is way off I think? I wear L for every BB item I've bought, love them all and perfect fit. I decided to get the hoodie in XL for extra room to layer. I had to squeeze my head through the neck opening and the fit was tighter than any L I've previously purchased, I wouldn't even be able to comfortably wear a t-shirt underneath. Exchanged for XXL and now it's excellent but I've never had to go up two sizes for anything before, not sure why the sizing is so small!

Edit: I'm 6'0" 175lb with an athletic build, so not a giant person lol

The design looks simple, but it's more interesting the closer you look at it. I love it. I'll definitely buy more from them
