I bought the Alto and these (Chino) style shorts both in black to see which one I wanted. I ended up keeping both because they fit great, feel great, and the color black is perfect. I got the M 7in inseam, I'm 5'9 175

These shorts are excellent. Love the stretch at the waist and how it fits my butt. I will be buying more of these soon!

Very nice shorts!!

I wash on tap cold, without bleach, no other clothes in the washer and the color bleeds leaving the shorts a pinkish/orange tint. It’s happened three times even with color catchers the last two times. None of my other clothes do this only these shorts which is a shame because they are comfortable and fit well.

I had previously ordered 3 pair of the stretch short and loved them except the width of the leg openings being too big. After seeing the chino short being described as having a slim fit through the thigh I jumped on them. Unfortunately, this has the same issue of having too large of a leg opening. I have bigger thighs, and these could still do with 2-3" taken off of the opening and still be comfortable. That is what the stretch material is for. The quality is still unmatched, it just feels like I'm wearing short-length baggy shorts.

Super soft, fit great, and the color ways are perfect! I was unsure how I’d like the waist band but it’s legit! Will buy more!

I just got a pair of Stretch Chino Shorts a few days ago, and I’ve worn them every day since! They have a great overall fit, just the right amount of stretch, and a little extra room through the middle, which makes them especially comfortable without sacrificing a clean, polished appearance.

I got them in both black and dark blue—two very versatile colors that go with just about anything. Now I’ve got my eye on another pair in stone and fern. I may have found my new favorite shorts!

Unfortunately my experience with the Bearbottom stretch short was ultimately tepid.
The construction is quality, the styling is good, and the stretch is just right. The sizing, however, is all over the board.

I tried the medium size and it was too big, especially in the brighter blue shade they offer. Black was smaller, but still fell off of my body. The small is too small, especially in the green shade they offer, although the slate was perfect until I washed it and it shrank. Overall, the sizing isn't consistent, especially when considering different colors. The company, and specifically Tina, made this right however without too much of a hassle.

I’ve been wearing AE shorts for years, but needed something different. After seeing ads for these shorts and reading all the reviews I gave them a shot and wow, I have not been let down. The quality, feel, and fit are perfect. I bought 3 pairs and will probably buy 3-4 more. I ordered medium, but needed to size up to a large. Exchanging was very easy, and I got my new order within 3 days of initiating the exchange. Overall, I’m very impressed. Will be a repeat customer for sure.

I'm very particular about the way my shorts fit. The inseam cut on these is spot on and they have the perfect amount of stretch. Ordered one pair as a test fit, ordering more colors now.

I was hesitant to purchase these. I finally decided to purchase a 4 pack though and simply put they are probably the best shorts that I've ever owned. Extremely comfortable and the fit is perfect.

I have tried PRL, LLB, CK, TB and MAC W. These Bear Bottoms are the best so far. I have always preferred TB because of the soft brushed feel and an added fiber which makes their shorts very soft. I am 6’6” 240 # and generally wear a size 34 or 35 waist with not much of a butt. My problem with most shorts is they stretch out too much because I don’t have a rear end to keep them up (hate belts on shirts) so I’m always adjusting the buttons so the shorts are tighter. Buying too tight of shorts is uncomfortable; buying my size means I always have to adjust the buttons. I have two boxes of buttons that I generally use for all of my shorts. 🙄 Besides the Mac Weldon, waistbands which are a different style, I have not used elastic waistbands and stayed awzy from it. Bear Bottom shorts are amazing because they don’t look frumpy and they don’t gather. Love the button and zipper fly! Best of all the shorts do not fall down. They stay put even with a cell phone in my back pocket! I’m able to wear a size large and it fits my hip just fine! My only concern is a couple of the shorts seem to be a little bit tighter than others, so there is inconsistency with sizing as many others have said. Also, after washing the stone color pair, only once, the fly crinkled up. I’m not sure if it’s the stitching or the material but it’s all gathered at the fly, which looks not so great and sloppy, it is a slight defect, which is a bummer. With the exception of the stone color shorts, these Bear Bottom shorts are comfortable and terrific, and I have four pair. I wish the Chino stretch would come in the pink as the regular shorts do!
