A trip to Bangladesh, and an idea.
The inspiration for Bearbottom Clothing came in 2012 when I visited Bangladesh for the first time as a high school student. I saw first-hand the need for quality jobs and basic necessities like clothing and returned home with a desire to make an impact.

Growing up on the West Coast of Florida, adventure-ready clothing was essential to my everyday. I wasn't able to find clothes with the features and comfort I needed year-round, so I decided to create them. I realized this was my chance to help the people of Bangladesh, one of the largest apparel-manufacturing countries in the world. I had the opportunity to provide jobs and donate clothing through a buy-one-give-one model.
After over a year of development, Bearbottom Clothing launched in January 2014. Since then, we’ve expanded our team and mission to make the most comfortable and versatile menswear around. As part of our growing mission, we now proudly donate a school meal to a child in India for every item sold.

WHAT WE'VE BUILT
From One Short to a Full Closet
2012
Robert visits Bangladesh and sees the need for quality jobs and basic essentials first-hand.
2014
We launch Bearbottom with the first Stretch Short, and start donating shorts alongside it.
2019
Our first pair of pants goes live after months of development, the Stretch Jogger.
2020
After years of customer requests, we launch our first top, the Tech Tee.
2021
One item sold = one school meal. We partner with Akshaya Patra to feed kids in Bangalore, India, and have donated over 2 million meals.
2023
The team moves into our 27,000 square foot office and warehouse headquarters in Tampa, FL.
Comfort Is the Point
Made for real life, not one occasion on the calendar. Clothes that feel like old favorites from the first wear.
Comfort First
Stretch fabrics and broken-in softness that move with you, so you can focus on what you’re doing, not what you’re wearing.
Built to Keep Showing Up
Your new old favorites. Daily drivers, not one-and-done fashion, made to hold up through work, weekends, and everything in between.
Worn Year-Round
Robert couldn’t find clothes with the comfort and features he needed in every season, so he made them. Gear you’ll reach for every day, all year.
Before it ships
Wear-Tested. Then Tested Again.
Every style starts as something we want to wear. We refine the fabric, fit, and feel while we put it to the test.
Washed, worn, and checked for everything from colorfastness to abrasion to seam strength, because a favorite isn’t a favorite if it can’t keep up with real life.
We’re not just making something to sell. We’re making something worth keeping. Clothes you reach for without thinking, made by the people who wear them too.
What We Believe In
Giving Back
Our MissionAs part of our buy-one-give-one model, for every item we sell, we donate a school meal to a child in India. Our customers have helped us donate 2,000,000 meals so far. Past initiatives have supported donations of 100,000+ shorts to children in Bangladesh and India, and 275,000+ protective masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
