Stretch Short

This was my first order. The material is quality; I was concerned that the inseam was too short but it did indeed measure 7 inches. I am also impressed by the quality of the zipper. I have purchased other brand shorts for similar prices and they came with cheap, easy to break zippers--you discover that 6-9 months down the road. I have some issues with size availability. I'm triple X and colors available are limited.

I like the 5.5 inseam, however, for a 31in waist, the Size Medium is tight.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the cut and fit of these shorts.

But a couple things I noticed initially. First, the cloth isn't as stretchy as I expected. I have similar shorts from other brands that provide more stretch. Second, while I like the inseam length, I was disappointed that the backside wasn't high enough to totally cover my butt. Granted, I have a very large bubble butt, but I wouldn't expected full coverage for an xxxl stretch short.

In the end, I've decided to keep the shorts, but will need to make sure I'm wearing a shirt long enough to cover my back/butt intersection.

I love Bear Bottom. They typically make a great product. I own a pair of pants I love. The R&R shorts might be my all-time favorite. But the chino shorts are a massive swing and miss. I honestly feel like they are Old Navy shorts. The fabric is too thick. They aren’t even remotely wrinkle free. The seems at the bottom curl up after washing, the button hole curls back, the flap over the back pocket (terrible idea) flips up after washing. Sorry, I don’t want to iron shorts every time. They just feel clunky and are not attractive when wearing them. I’ve worn them a few times, so it’s too late to return. But they’ll go in the donation bin.

Comfortable and they look great!
