I recently picked up the Stretch Chino Shorts from Bearbottom Clothing, and I can confidently say they’ve earned a permanent spot in my wardrobe. The fit is nothing short of perfection—slim through the thigh without feeling restrictive, with just the right amount of stretch. The elastic waistband is a game-changer and the 97% cotton and 3% spandex blend feels soft yet durable.
What really seals the deal is how they move with me—I’m already itching to grab more colors (that Sand Dune shade is calling my name), but I’m holding out hope that the 4-pack bundle goes back on sale soon. It’d be the perfect excuse to stock up without breaking the bank. Bearbottom, if you’re listening, please bring that deal back—I need these shorts to be my go-to for every season! Hands down, the best chino shorts I’ve ever owned. For reference I’m 5’9 and 175 lbs. Shorts were size medium.

These are the most comfortable, versatile shorts I own. So I bought a couple more pairs in different colors.
The stretch waistband is so comfortable but they don’t look like old man shorts.

I originally ordered the OG Stretch Short, but after receiving them I wasn’t really excited about the fit. FWIW, I’m 5’9”,165 lbs, and wear a 31” waist jean. I have an old pair of the stretch shorts that are a size large that I bought back in 2020. At the time I was around 180-185. Over the years, they have been my go-to short, but after losing some weight over the past year, I noticed they were loose and not fitting the same. Fast forward, I saw the big anniversary sale, so I decided to get a new pair and size down to a medium in the Stretch Short. While the quality seemed to be the same as my old pair, if not better, the fit just wasn’t what I wanted. So I returned them and bought the Stretch Chino Short in British Khaki and it was a winner! Now, it being Feb. in WV, I haven’t got to wear them out and about, but I already know they’ll be my favorite short! The color is very similar to the Camel color of the OG Stretch Short, which is what I wanted. The fit is *chef’s.kiss,* IMO. Not too tight through the thigh and opening like skinny jeans might be, but also not so loose that feel like I’m wearing parachute pants. Just right with some slight looseness, but a fitted, slim look and feel. A Goldilocks fit, if you will! Make the purchase, you won’t be disappointed!
